RE:  Vacancy for Junior Writer

I am very excited indeed at the current vacancy you have for a Junior Writer ! 
I am hoping you will consider me for the position, and I believe I have the 
qualities that you are looking for.

My chosen writing sample is two randomly picked pages from the introduction 
of my Undergraduate Dissertation entitled: " The Role of Body Imagine in 
Aesthetic Appreciation of Non-Body Stimuli.  A Biased Interpretation ?" (for 
which I received a 2:1).  I enjoy all types of writing, from poetry to satirical 
commentary and review, but I think this best illustrates my writing style with 
reference to the above job and is the work I am most proud of.

Although I chose to undertake a Bachelor of Science rather than Arts, I feel 
this has helped me to develop a writing style that is precise and succinct in 
manner but also with a strong factual (and evidence based) orientation.  Indeed, 
my degree in Psychology itself is very applicable to the marketing arena.   I 
hope this balances well with my love of writing imaginative and personal narrative 
and that both would be of relevance in writing good marketing copy.

I have been working freelance for a year, selling online myself and on a 
commission basis, building good customer relations and a strong commercial 
awareness.  

I have been writing for my own enjoyment for as long as I can remember and I can think of 
nothing better than being paid to write every day.  Whilst I may not fit the mould of 
your specifications exactly, I am not someone who really fits a mould. I believe I am 
creative, logical, honest and most importantly, I'm not afraid to step outside the 'box'.
